An expansion for the game Železný hvozd (Ironwood) that adds railroads, lanterns, new cards, powerful constructs, and ancient spirits of the forest.

The Ironclad gains access to the railroad network, which offers new possibilities for movement and troop deployment. The Woodwalkers, on the other hand, harness the power of magical lanterns. The expansion introduces new game mechanics and action cards that broaden the strategic options for both sides.

Two new, exceptionally powerful units also enter the fray. Constructs bolster the Ironclad, while the awakened primals rise up on the side of the Woodwalkers. Each of these units brings new tactical possibilities to the game and can significantly influence the course of battle.

Both modules can be used separately or combined to create an even more varied and thrilling battle for the Ironwood.

Steel Comes to the Woods

The Ironclad is penetrating deeper and deeper into the woods, and while searching for crystals, it discovers a new material—steel. With it come impressive constructs and railroads that change the way the Ironclad moves and fights. However, their ruthless plundering has roused from their slumber ancient spirits who had long remained hidden in the darkness beneath the earth. Upon awakening, these beings joined the war—specifically on the side of the Woodwalkers.

Railroads and Lanterns

The new expansion adds railroads to the game, connecting mountainous regions and allowing the Ironclad to quickly move units over long distances. The Woodwalkers, in turn, gain lanterns that they can light during the game and harness their power in battle.

The Forest Changes

Steel and Spirit expands the base game with two standalone modules that you can use individually or together. It adds new special cards, abilities, movement options, and other possibilities during combat.

Constructs vs. Primals

Both factions gain a new type of unit. The Ironclad can deploy powerful constructs, while the Woodwalkers summon primals that wield the power of the elements. Each faction can choose from four variants with different abilities, so deploying them can change the course of the entire game.
